- More information
Intestinal cells release miRNAs in the gut lumen which can be detected in fecal samples. Despite fecal miRNAs emerging as a precise molecular biomarker of gastrointestinal diseases, their cellular origin in the intestine tissue is largely unknown.
In the Thesis project, the candidate will learn and apply bioinformatic approaches to investigate to integrate public and novel transcriptomic and epigenomic datasets to provide novel evidence on the cellular and molecular mechanisms regulating the fecal miRNA expression in the tissue of origin.
