The project aims to investigate the possible consequences of using phytoestrogens, particularly genistein (GEN), associated with a low-protein diet during pregnancy.

Two questions will be addressed: could GEN-rich soybeans generate strong neuroendocrine repercussions at the fetal level? Also, could exposure to high levels of phytoestrogens, as endocrine disruptors, affect maternal behavior?
